Department of Transport- Launching Bike Cage

Over 30 DOT staff came along to inspect their new bicycle parking location, with 26 bicycles already parked in the new bike cage on its first day of operation.

The new bike cage extends the bicycle storage facilities at the SX1 building in Melbourne's CBD, doubling the number of available bike parking spaces to over 300. The new cage includes 167 bike parking spaces with 133 wall mounted bike racks and 34 floor mounted racks to choose from.

The new bike cage in SX1 is a great addition to the cycle friendly workplace for the regular and growing numbers of DOT staff riding to work. Other facilities at DOT include clothes lockers and showers on each floor.
