Event: Marysville - Lake Mountain Fire Relief Ride, May 2, 2009
The devastation that the fires left in the area temporarily put a pre-arranged event on hold, however after much discussion and negotiation, it was decided that the event would proceed with the full support of the community.
No longer is this simply a cycling event. It will now act as a fundraiser with$25 from each entry to be donated to the Australian Red Cross to help the community recover and rebuild.
Your participation in this amazing event will assist those who have been so badly affected by the Black Saturday fires. The event also provides the towns of the Murrindindi Shire with a chance to show the State that the local community is helping themselves recover and is ready to commence the long process of rebuilding their lives.
